Fieldtrips
A number of fieldtrips were arranged for the Campus. On the island, they were taken to a number of archaeological sites by Peter Gill. The Cistercian Abbey in Abbeyknockmoy, east Galway was visited by the group to see the main house to which the Clare Island site was affiliated. In addition a 14th century tower house, Ardmullivan, south Galway was visited to see a conservation programme in progress there. Extensive wall-paintings have only recently been discovered. Christoph, Barbara (of the campus team) and Karena Morton are the conservators in charge.
