Daily life of the Campus

The Campus managed to combine work and play, as well as fitting into island life. The group also took a few fieldtrips both on the island and the mainland. As the various different projects required different types of work, the participants had varied days, working at home (Ballytoughey or the Mill), at the Abbey, surveying the islanders, the community centre. Everyone met up in Ballytoughey for the evening meal, and then 'retired' to the pub in the Community Centre or the Hotel after. During the five weeks, there were periods of glorious weather, as well as the more usual, 'changeable' weather which the west of Ireland is famous for. |
